History
The historic Villa Sabbia, designed by Architect Lejeune in 1928, is part of the city's rich heritage. The Quartier Sénégalais or the Senegalese Quarter was laid out from 1908 on land purchased by Léopold Lejeune, an accountant and self-proclaimed contractor living in Verviers.
The Transformation
Villa Sabbia, a magnificent example of architectural splendor in the heart of Koksijde, underwent a remarkable transformation that respected its historical charm and heritage. The villa was gutted and meticulously rebuilt by the current owner.
